Some weddings hold a special place in your heart, and this was undoubtedly one of them.

While this celebration was not officially a Simple Blessings event, it was one that I was deeply honoured to be a part of. The bride is one of my closest friends, and being able to stand beside her as a bridesmaid while also helping bring her wedding vision to life made the day even more meaningful.

In the months leading up to the wedding, I had the privilege of helping design the décor and supplying and setting up the majority of the decorative elements. One of my favourite parts was creating the arch and head table floral arrangements, knowing they would serve as the backdrop for so many special moments throughout the day. Watching everything come together was incredibly rewarding, but nothing compared to seeing my friend walk down the aisle.

Adding to the personal nature of the day, Jesse had the honour of officiating the ceremony. While giving a microphone to someone who has known the bride for more than 15 years can be a risky decision, it made for a ceremony filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and a few unexpected stories. Shelby was an excellent sport through it all and thoroughly enjoyed the little surprises Jesse had woven into the ceremony, making it even more memorable for everyone in attendance.

There is something truly special about watching someone you love marry their best friend. The joy, excitement, and genuine love shared throughout the day were felt by everyone present. From the meaningful ceremony to the celebration that followed, every moment reflected who they are as a couple and the incredible life they are building together.

Being so involved in this wedding, both as a friend and behind the scenes, was an experience I will always treasure. It was a beautiful reminder that some of the most meaningful moments in life are the ones shared with the people who mean the most to us.

Congratulations to two wonderful people whose love story has been a joy to witness. It was an honour to celebrate alongside you and play a small part in such an unforgettable day.
